Consumers can have positive affect our environment

We all know that the more we drive our vehicles, the more we pollute the air and the larger our personal footprints are. It just makes sense then, that doing our best to shop locally has many more positive affects than solely those that affect the local economy.

The awareness of businesses, merchants and services that this web site lists enables smart consumers to make very important decisions about how far they really need to travel (and therefore how much fuel they consume) getting there.

It may not sound like a big deal to drive twenty to thirty minutes outside of Caledon, but added up over time, one's personal carbon footprint can be larger than they'd ever imagined.

Shopping locally makes sense from a community support view point, but equally as an environmental issue.
