Summertime activities abound
Looking for something to do in Caledon this summer?
There's no shortage of venues to keep you busy and let you enjoy those dog days of summer.
For those who love the outsdoors, visit Albion Hills Conservation Area, just a few kilometres north of Bolton on Regional Road 50. Like most conservation areas, it offers camping, a brand new splash pad, canoe and paddle boat rentals and plenty of picnic spots. Albion Hills is also the site of many interesting summer activities like mountain bike races. Glen Haffy Conservation Area on Airport Road, 10 kilometres north of Caledon East, boasts stocked trout ponds for anglers of all ages.
One of Caledon's most impressive tourist spots is the red clay hills of the Badlands, just west of Inglewood. This picture-perfect postcard scene is known far and wide and was once popular for TV commercials and movies. It's one of nature's wonders so if you haven't visited in a while, make it a point to stop by even for just a few breathtaking moments.
For young and old alike, Bolton's Empire Theatres offers all the hot new summer blockbusters. Plan a family movie night or just head out for a flick and some popcorn.
Skyview Lanes just behind Caesar's Event Centre in Bolton is just the ticket for five-pin enthusiasts. Drop by for an impromptu game or reserve a few lanes for a birthday party or special event. It's great fun for the whole family.
