Is it really worth it? Really?

Many Caledonians already spend far too much time on the road, putting insane amounts of mileage, but seldom do we pause to think about the wear and tear we put on our vehicle running around looking for deals at larger stores outside our own community.

A shopper in a local store was overheard saying that, "I can get this [item] for fifty cents cheaper over in [name withheld]!"

What they were failing to take into consideration, however, was that to try to save fifty cents, just to get there (a half hour drive) was going to actually cost far more in gas, time and road inflicted pounding to their vehicle.

Sure, saving a bit of money may fill us with a sense of accomplishment, but is it really worth it? Really?
